About the book…
Images selected for “Insight… a personal vision” were photographed during extensive
worldwide travel exploring remote lands, foreign cultures, and magnificent destinations.
Designed as a portfolio presentation, the photography challenges tradition with images that have
been created, enhanced and at times completely altered, expanding upon a vision that continues
to evolve.
Searching beyond for the image within and pushing the creative boundaries of photography has
revealed imaginative and unexpected visual perspectives… beyond the ordinary, and most often
exceeding expectations.
With a preference for exploring photography and the diversity of expression as a contemporary
art form, searching beyond is not only the recording of what is, but potentially what it can be.
Ultimately however, it's the art of seeing and the challenge of expression that inspires the art of
the image. Somewhere between realism and abstraction, it's suggested there's more to the world
around us than we might initially observe... and to look and imagine, and not just see.
